Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on my new Hit Song Blog. The point of this blog is to track regular progress in my quest to have a hit song in the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 within the next six months!

I know it's a tall order, and some of you may think I have fallen off my meds, but I am up for the challenge and hope you will come along for the ride with me. I urge you to provide me with comments and hopefully encouragement as I take this great adventure.

My first attempt at the hit song on this journey will be a song that I am co-writing with a fellow Taxi member. Together Steve (slideboardouts) and I are collaborating on an urban track. The track will be up for you to hear once the vocals are recorded and we have done the requisite copyrighting. Steve has a great sense for hooks and understanding of the current urban pop market - and he writes some wicked beats!!

I would like to take this time to give out a big "thank you" to all of you who have taken the time to visit my blog and hope you come back and find it useful to your own pursuits. At some points I would like to share the process with you - let you hear the song as it progresses through the different stages - and see it come to final fruition.

All my best goes out to my fellow DOTS on the TAXI boards!!
